Choirs

Glebe has a wide variety of choirs, so no matter what your skill level or musical preferences there's bound to be one for you.  Members of all choirs sing in the full choir which practices at lunch on Wednesday and every other Friday (if you're only in full choir than you would come on these days, otherwise you would likely only attend only one or two full choir practices a week in addition to your other choir[s]).  Anyone can be in full choir if they want to, no prior music experience is necessary.

Concert choir is an intermediate level choir, it helps to be able to read music to be in concert choir but it's not really necessary if you can learn pieces by ear quickly.  Concert choir practices at lunch on Tuesday and Thursday.

Chamber choir is the most advanced choir at Glebe, if you feel comfortable singing a cappella (without accompaniment) and sight reading music, then you should try auditioning for this choir.

In addition to these choirs, there is also a madrigal choir that sings secular choral music from the 14th century and practices Tuesday after school, an opera choir that practices Monday at lunch, and plans for a jazz choir later in the year that will run in opera choir's current Monday-at-lunch timeslot.
