Make a donation to Glebe Collegiate Institute and we will recognize it with a seat plaque in your name (or someone else's name). It will live on a back of a seat in Glebe's newly refurbished auditorium. Every donation will bring Glebe School Council one step closer to reaching our fundraising goal of $15,000 to help pay for auditorium improvements. You will also receive a tax receipt for the charitable donation.

Commencement, Friday, June 25th, 10 a.m. PDF Print
Written by Pamela Wilson
Wednesday, 09 June 2010 13:30

We ask that all graduates arrive by 8:45 a.m. on June 25. Instructions for picking up the graduation gowns and marshalling will be posted outside room 124. Parents and other guests are invited to arrive with their student as seating will be on a first-come basis. If you have been unsuccessful in completing all your requirements for your diploma, you will be notified following Promotion Meetings.

It has been observed in the past that some parents and graduates find it convenient to leave the ceremonies immediately upon their time in the spotlight being concluded. Please do not do this as this disrupts the ceremony for other graduates and guests. We request that all graduates and their guests remain until the conclusion of the ceremony and join the staff in a reception in the Cafeteria to conclude our celebration. The graduation gowns are to be returned to the marshalling rooms after the reception. The real diploma, certificates and awards will be picked up at this time. It is a tradition at Glebe that parents donate homemade snack foods for this reception. If you would like to contribute a few cookies, brownies, covered fruit trays or savory treats, please bring them to the Cafeteria in advance of the ceremony. Also, a parking permit to extend the time for street parking from only one hour to allow you to park from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm in areas marked allowing on street parking in the vicinity of the school will be available in the main office. If you have accessibility needs, either for parking, elevator use or seating, please let us know in the main office as soon as possible. Thank you.
